Hi, I know its a little early to start worrying about college, I'm a freshman, but that's just me. I was wondering if you have any tips on what to do stand out. I love reading and writing, I have over 150 hours of volunteering. I am also interested in becoming a lawyer so I am doing a summer program at a university specifically for that. Also getting a volunteer award. Just curious, any feedback is appreciated!!

Good so far, but I personally cannot say anything more since I do not know integral information about u..

Thanks! If it helps these are the classes I take currently:
Honors English 9
Honors Bio
Honors Geometry
Honors World History
Honors French 2
Orchestra
Next Year:
Honors English 10
Honors Algebra 2
Honors Chemistry
Honors Civics/Modern History
Honors French 3
Orchestra
Also I'm thinking about possibly taking spanish during the summer not sure yet but thanks for the reply!

Very good!!
Definitely do sth with your summer, sth more active. I am not american, so I cannot really judge this, but it all looks very good!
You should not worry so much now, though. After all, you are only a freshman

Thanks for the advice!

May I suggest something? Why don't you try to find an internship. I believe your parents are bound to know somebody, and even if that is not the case, you could always pursue it yourself. It shows commitment. Do that, if you can. It would be great in my opinion.

Actually, I have thought about that. My friend's dad works at law firm so I'm asking him. My guidance counselor is also looking for me. Also the summer program I'm doing is for people who are interested in law and they provide internships at law firms.

oh my goodness... still a freshman oO
it's good to plan ahead I guess... what are your ECs? get some leadership positions and try to have something unique going on for you (especially if you are white or asian) for example, try to get recruited for sports, be a very good artist or musician, etc.
other than that... keep up the good work and hope for the best... and don't forget that chance plays a big part in college admissions too. sometimes setting your heart on something for so long can be so painful when you don't get it... good luck :)

Thanks for the advice.
