How would a top school look at a HS GPA of 3.2 UW (3.4 junior-senior average) with 4 AP's (physics, bio, history, literature)?

ACT is good, College GPA is good, EC's are good, Rec's are good.
Thanks. (for sophomore standing)

you'll be better off applying for junior standing if you're applying to the TOP schools.

your chances will go up THAT much if you have more college work to show for.

I had around an 83avg from high school, and was accepted to Cornell for sophmore standing. In my essays I really let them know that my HS days really didn't define my capabilities. (had 4.0 college gpa fresh year, 1350 sats (m+v) )

Well, I don't mean the tippity top schools like yale and stanford. I mean schools like cornell and vanderbilt which have 25% and up transfer acceptance rates.

Cornell's transfer acceptance rates are very misleading as they include NY residents who have guaranteed transfers-lots of them!

I guess a lot would depend on where your 4.0 is from and what your profs say.

I would transfer into the engineering school. I think its acceptance rate is higher.
