Im a transfer applicant with an unimpressive HS GPA (3.6). My college GPA is 3.92, however, and i believe I really conveyed my indivduality and gave a good statement. Im not asking for anyone to evaluate my chances but I want to know if my good college GPA will in a sense make up for the HS GPA and an unimpressive test score (ACT 27). I know Brown believes in growth… this is an example of my growth.

bumpppppppp

high school grades don't matter much if you kill from college on out. 3.6 isn't that bad anyway. But then again having a GPA of 3.9 doesn't mean too much if you've only been in college for one semester. I had 2.5 years of solid work under my belt when I transferred.

yeah i was going to send in my midterm grades (3.8 GPA) but I called and asked Brown and they said it was no big deal. A 3.8 may have hurt my case anyways. But I figured Id have a better chance next year. I guess after 2 years my HS grades wont matter much in comparison to college. Does Brown let transfer applicants retake SAT or ACT after HS?

Sorry I didn't get back to you any sooner but I didn't even take any standardized tests until I was in college.
