Hello! I'm currently a junior girl at a nationally ranked public NY high school. I'm trying to make a preliminary college list, and sort out reaches, safeties and targets. I want to have a realistic idea of what kind of schools I have a chance at before I get into the thick of things. So... given this, here are my stats.

GPA: 3.75
SAT: 2180

APs (by end of senior year): American History, English, Biology, Psychology
**could take AP European History or a history elective... not sure what to do w/ this

ECs
*Competitive dancer (ballet, modern, hiphop): entails 10+ hrs of dance a week - 7 years
*Volunteer @ dance studio as coach/mentor to elementary school children - 3 years
*Junior coordinator of dance charity benefit for- 2 years
*Summer internship at medical center for science research program - genetics
* President of charity cancer fundraiser
*Member of student gov't - 1 year
*Writer for school newspaper - 2 years
* Staff writer for school magazine - 1 year, editor for same magazine - 1 year
* Editor and Chief of school literary/art magazine - 2 years
* Summer precollege program - Brown University
* Babysitter - 5 years

Awards: Top 10% @ Toshiba Science Competition, Nat'l Merit Commended Scholar, NCTE Semi-Finalist

So... that's the 'on-paper' stuff. If there's anything else you'd like to know I'd be happy to add on. I have a huge interest in both English & Biology, but I'd consider Polisci as an option as well. I hope to take a miscellany of classes to figure out where my true passions lie. So, that being said,

The places I'm looking at are...

Hamilton
Colgate
Middlebury
Pomona
Rice
WashU in St.Louis
Tufts
U Richmond
UVA
Vanderbilt
Emory

I'd love to know what you think of my chances at these schools, what I should improve to up my chances, and if you have any suggestions for places to look at, my ears are open! Thanks!
