If you guys would, post some schools that offer athletic training and physical therapy as a dual major.
I know a few schools like Sacred Heart University, Boston Univeristy, and Springfield University.
The schools posted above have a program where it is a 3+3 program. 3 years of a undergrad study, which in this case would be athletic training. The other 3 years are the doctorate study for physical therapy. I know the earliest that one could graduate with an AT/DPT is 6 years with this program.

Thanks for those who leave an input!

Try Tufts, maybe? I know they’re strong in physical therapy, at least…

Thanks for the input, I will def. check them out.

I remember when I was researching physical therapy for my daughter, I came across a professional PT organization on the internet. I’m pretty sure they provided a list of accredited colleges. Also, ask your own physical therapist where they went and where they wished they’d gone.

Physical Therapy:
Gettysburg
Juniata
Gannon
Georgetown
Miseriacordia

Kinesiology:
U of Md
William & Mary (is Virginia OK?)

Exercise Science:
Skidmore
Elon (sorry, North Carolina)

Athletic Training:
Ithaca
Denison (Ohio)
Marist
Salisbury (Md)
George Washington

My D wants to be a DPT, too. Since undergrad PT programs at schools she likes are hard to find, she’ll probably end up going to an LAC with a well-established pre-health professions advising program. That’s something you might look into, too.

University of Scranton.

Scranton does not have athletic training as a major but they do have exercise science which is what a large number of the students going on for the DPT at Scranton choose to major in for their undergrad degree.

quinnipiac has a great program

UB has a 3+3 ES/DPT program:

Drexel has a good 3+3 BS/DPT program (physical therapy). That also includes one 6-month co-op where you work for a company for 6 months instead of taking classes and make money! I think the average for a 6-month period is ~$14,000-15,000.
