HS schdeuling help? Advice please!

I have a dilemma here, I can't take the Pre-AP science class I was supposed to take for sophomore year (Pre-AP chemistry) because I have 2 classes(Band and Leadership) during the 2 periods when Pre-AP chemistry is taught. I can't change those classes b/c I have to be in those two. So my counselor gave me the junior year class (Pre-AP physics).

So my question is: Should I take the Pre-AP physics or should I switch to regular chemistry?
Would switching to regular chemistry affect the chances of colleges admitting me?

What’s the difference between pre-ap chem and regular chem? I can’t believe there are schools out there with three varieties of the same class. They won’t let you take chem and then AP?

Well regular chem is less difficult and pre-ap chem is more rigorous. But pre-ap chem is counted as an honors class and would give me a higher gpa. And Physics(reg. and p/ap) is a junior class.

Just out of curiosity, why do you have to take leadership? Is it a school requirement?

ay my school, when you’re elected an officer position for any big club or organization, you’re automatically in leadership
