About a week ago, i requested Parchment to send my HS transcript electronically to UCI. My send status in Parchment still shows the transcript has not been downloaded, i am worried its stuck somewhere.tried calling Admissions office, was kept on hold by the automated telephone system and could never reach anyone at the office. Any idea what’s going on? My school is closed for holidays and no one is answering my phone calls. i sent a transcript to myself from Parchment as a test and i received it without any issue. So i guess the system works. What are my other options? Just couple of days left for 1st july deadline, i am worried. Anyone with similar experience.
Call UCI Admissions regarding your possible late transcript submission. When DS took his AP exams this year, he forgot to designate UCI as a recipient of his test scores. He will have to rush send his scores when they come out in July and may not make the July 15 test score deadline. UCI Admissions told us that they will place a hold on your account and you will not be able to sign up for classes until the scores are received. I imagine that late HS transcripts will be treated the same way.
I have a quick question since I got accepted as a undeclared major with it stating that I only need to have a weighted 3.0 gpa doesn’t specify d’s or f’s and I currently have a D in my AP physics 2 class soon to be a c and had a d inthis class first semester what are the chances I will be revoked.I have a overall weighted GPA of over a 3.2 In the second semester the grade became a C.Also message UCI throught the portal about it
You’ll need to contact UCI admissions. You are not allowed any Ds or Fs. Is the D a first semester grade? They may let you retake the course over the summer.
yes it was a first semester grade
it became a c in second semester
so far they’ve been very vague as to what to do the we’re to busy right now message from the portal. Also because I have a full-time job in the summer I may not be able to take any summer courses. This is my fourth year in a lab science and only 2 years are required i had 3 years or lab science before this semester that i passed in grades including a previous year of physics 1 that i passed
i know that physics does not count for any credit but will that affect my admission as I didn’t pass the class for one semester?
Pick up the phone and call them directly. Even with a full time job, perhaps you can still find time to take the class over the summer maybe at a junior college.
As for the D as long as the transcript verifies that I raised the grade in my second semester as it should I shoud be fine they said and that it is basically up to the admissions counselor now.I guess I’ll just have to hope for the best and pray the dreaded words don’t show up on my portal. One good sign though they have continued to email news about uci.I got another email yesterday that asked me about the new engineering academy they are going to open.
