Hi. I am currently a freshmen of UC Davis as a Human Development major. I have always wanted to teach elementary school children and thought this was the major for me. However after extensive research at the orientation, I feel that the classes of Human Development seem to not be as rigorous, and I thought, anything easy probably isn't going to be fulfilling or demanded in the workforce. During the orientation, everybody was doing the placement exam for math and chemistry and my major didn't even have to do any of them. Many people also said that this major will lead you in teaching special education, which is not really my goal.

So I am looking towards two other majors that I have interest in.

Exercise Biology

and

Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior Major

For some reason both of these majors are on one page:

UC Davis General Catalog | Requirements

Does anybody have any knowledge of these two majors? Is Exercise Biology a BS degree? It doesn't have a huge header that says BS rather it says AB. However under it, there are BS requirements.

Are either of these majors extremely hard? I often doubt myself and fear that I will fail the biology stuff.

So if anybody have any information or suggestions I am willing to hear it. Thank you for your time.
