I’m pretty much committed to Rutgers University but I have yet to submit my deposit. I would like to know how the human resource management program is as I am planning to major in this with a minor in Psychology. Is the department any good? How are the opportunities? How are the internship/job outlooks? Does it have a good rep? Will I be able to get jobs with this degree from this school? I’m interested in the school because of the Masters advantage program they have in human resource management. I will be able to get my Masters degree in five years which I want. Is the school a good choice for this major or should I go to another school. TCNJ being an option, but in that case I would major in industrial/Organizational Psychology. I’m thinking Rutgers is the better choice, but I would like to hear input from current and past students or just people who know about this department at RU. Thank you.
Hi. I am a student at Rutgers University New Brunswick. Graduated in 2015 with a double major in Economics & HRM and now I am doing my masters in HR at Rutgers. From personal experience, its a great program to be in. Our faculty and students are extremely diverse and top notch. We are ranked among the top 5 schools in the US for HR. In terms of internship and job opportunities, we have an extremely dedicated career service system specifically for HR students. They are always available to help and guide you through your internship and job search process. You will certainly be able to get a job upon graduation. Our department has great relations with both local and international companies. We also have a mentorship program that will help you to connect with HR professionals. Rutgers is definitely a better option if you would like to pursue HR. If you are interested in IO, TCNJ would be better for that.
