Humorous personal motto?

One of Georgia Tech’s additional “essays” is a 25 word personal motto:
“Georgia Tech’s motto is Progress & Service. In 25 words or less, what is your personal motto?”
I would like to write something along the line of keep moving and never give up. I was wondering if it would be ill advised to use something with a bit of humor like “Better late than never but even better: be on time” (This is not the motto I am think of, just an example of the style)

As long as its not offensive or so casual that you sound like you’re joking around with your friends, then do it. It’ll capture your personality better which is what tech wants to learn about from the question.

I think humor is a good thing but be very sure you show who you are.

Is it a bad idea to use a quote from someone else?

I think it is a bad idea. My son did a one sentence motto that made sense to him. I hate this question and word length though. It’s hard to tell if they want 1 sentence or 3. I can’t imagine they get much quality info from it. Stanford has a 5 word essay and I much prefer that to this because at least there they are comparing apples to apples. With this who knows?

Ugh I hate this prompt I can’t think of anything

Lol it’s due in 2 days so you better hurry. Just be honest with yourself. If you do that, essays come easily.

@fprosk lol I remember you from the MITES thread! Didn’t know you weere applying to Georgia Tech as well
