Hi all, I'm an eighth grader and have already gone through the application process, SSAT, etc. And I have gotten accepted into all the schools i applied to including Peddie and Hun. I really love both the schools and can't wait to go back for my revisit days. But honestly, until then, I'm extremely eager to learn more about each school and some pros and cons about both schools. Any information would be helpful (academically, athletics, etc.) And also, is there any suggestions as to how I can make the decision easier? Rather then just going by natural instinct? As stated before, any information or suggestions are helpful!

Are u day or boarding? Seems suboptimal to be a boarding student where less than a third of the students are boarding-- the dynamics/schedule of the school will be more geared around day students.

I would be a day student at both. Maybe I would transfer to be a boarder if it was needed with all he work. I do understand though that both schools are very different in their boarders to day students ratio. I believe Peddie is 7:3 Boarders and Hun is 6:4 Day Students. But to be honest I’m not really looking at that as a vital point in making my decision. From what both schools say it doesn’t really matter and there is barely any barrier between day students and boarders. Should I take that info into higher consideration when making my decision? @GMTplus7

@laughalittle Not be a stalker or anything lol, but I was researching some of the forums involving the Peddie school and saw that you were a great contributor to the forums as well as a great advocate for Peddie. Is there anything you could contribute to this forum to help me out a bit. Any info is helpful, and even if you know anything about the Hun school that would be great to know too. Sorry if I’m catching you a little off guard lol.

@GEO0814f Hun is traditionally a more sporty school and less academically geared (they are trying to change that now). Peddie is more pretigous (if that matters) and is probably more academically rigorous.

Peddie has a great science program. Their signature experience program for jr’s/ sr’s sounds incredible. The Annenberg science center is a great facility. I have been accepted there, too.

@squashisawesome so Hun is trying to change their academics to become more rigorous?

@msclvr721 You did!? Congrats! Are you planning to go there in the fall?

Pretty sure. Got a merit scholarship…You?

@Geo0814f Revisiting next Thursday.

Awesome dude! I’m revisiting on April 2. There is a 75% chance I’ll be attending in the fall, but I still wanna revisit another school just to be sure. @msclvr721

@Geo0814f What School? Care to share?

Sure, it’s called the Hun school of Princeton. Peddie was always my first choice, and I know Peddie is higher ranked then Hun, but ever since I went to the Hun open house something about it caught my attention. So I’m gonna revisit both schools before I completely settle on one of them. Are you planning on visiting any other schools too? @msclvr721

Cate and St Andrews

All great options. Which are you leaning to out of all 3 schools? @msclvr721

@Geo0814f I haven’t seen St. Andrews yet… Snowstorm…had to Skype my interview. I loved both Cate and Peddie. Cate is my #1 but I am revisiting all with an open mind (if that is possible). Cate is just a totally different vibe than NE, really much more similar to my personality. We’ll see though. I’ll let you know…

Okay, good luck dude! I’m sure everything will work out. @msclvr721

@msclvr Watch “Dead Poets Society”. It’s all filmed at St. Andrew’s, so at least you could get a decent picture of the campus.

@Msclvr721 hey! Just came back on the forums for no reason lol. Remember I haven’t talked to u in awhile! What decision did u make?

Cate.
