<p>I would like to start a new thread just for Hunt. I hope that those that started the last one will be able to answer some questions, I feel it has just gotten confusing Hunt and the PS. Thanks.</p>

<p>1) Does anyone know the interview date for 2014?
2) Is there another website where they have the 2013-2014 calendar listed? The one currently only has the 2012-2012 dates listed.
3) Do you hear back from the committee whether or NOT you will be invited to interview?
4) How will you be notified?
5) Has anyone received the Hunt without being able to physically make it to the only interview date?
6) Anyone know how much of a weight the essay/letters of recommendation/interview have?
7) What questions do they ask at the interview?</p>

<p>March 20 Hunt Leadership Scholar Finalists Arrive on Campus
Dinner with HLS Finalists (Umphrey Lee) 5:00pm </p>

<p>Finalist Reception (Hughes-Trigg Ballroom East) 6:30pm</p>

<p>March 21 Hunt Leadership Scholar Interview Day</p>

<p>Interview Day Dinner (Mack Ballroom) 6:00pm – 8:00pm</p>

<p>March 22 HLS Finalists Depart Campus</p>

<p>J4Morrow has mentioned a notification date of mid-February. I imagine candidates will be notified by real mail in true SMU fashion. </p>

<p>On another related topic, I noticed that the SMU Regular Decision Application deadline was extended to January 22. However, the Hunt Scholarship Application is no longer available on the site, so I am guessing the Scholarship Committee kept firm the January 15th deadline. </p>

<p>They probably have a lot of essays to read!</p>

<p>I am a bit stressed since the interview date is right in the middle of our Spring Break and DD is going to Europe with a school group that has been planned for 2 years!</p>

<p>I wonder if they ever do interviews outside of that date? Anyone?</p>

<p>@lynjobes: Hunt responses (both yes and no) should be received the third week in February. </p>

<p>@CWSTUDENT: Yes, for extenuating circumstances Hunt interviews can be held outside the usual date. That would be arranged through Lindsay Davis, the Hunt program coordinator. </p>

<p>My son just received notification in today’s mail that he is a finalist!! We live in the DFW area for those who are wondering. Good luck to everyone else. </p>

<p>Thought I would mention that the letter my son received is dated 02-14-2014 and confirms the interviews will take place on 03-21-14. There are events planned for 03-20-14 as well. We are just thrilled! We wish everyone else the best of luck and look forward to meeting some of you in March! Pony up!!</p>

<p>doresearch, did your son apply ED, EA, or RD? If RD, has he received his official acceptance to SMU? Thanks in advance. </p>

<p>He did apply EA and he received his official acceptance back in Dec-I think. I wish others would post if they have heard. The Hunt finalist letter says that over 900 applications were received and that 66 were selected as finalists and have been invited to interview. Good luck everyone and please post when you receive your letter. </p>

<p>Considering your son’s letter was dated 2/14/14, most others (outside of DFW area) have not received any notification and will not until 2/18/14. </p>

<p>Even in the DFW area, in regards of the acceptance letters in December, the letter was dated Friday 12/13/13 and I received it on Wednesday 12/18/13. So it’ll probably be the same case for the Hunt. Dated 2/14/14 and receive it sometime in the middle of this coming week hopefully!</p>
