I’m a current sophomore at a local community college outside of Philadelphia, and I applied to Hunter around the first of the year, sending my supporting documents around the 10th. Unfortunately as a transfer, I’m not eligible to apply for the Macauley Honors college, but from what I read everyone says that Hunter professors are great and that the coursework is challenging, which is what i’m after. And, I’d be lying if I said the Manhattan location has nothing to do with my interest… Anyway, since I live in Pennsylvania, I’d only be able to attend Hunter if I were able to get housing, and their housing is very limited. From what I’ve been told, admissions decisions usually come out around the time the housing application opens. For those who have applied to Hunter (not the honors college) for fall admission in the past and who applied for housing, when did you apply and did you receive an admissions decision prior to the opening of the housing application? Also, if you applied for housing (again, except for the honors program) did you get it? I’m just paranoid that my decision won’t come until after the app is open and that i’ll have to apply late, decreasing my chances of getting a dorm. Thanks in advance!
