Anyone who has gotten into Hunter or Lehman have low SAT scores, but a high GPA and extracurricular activities?
My GPA is a 3.8, SAT 1480, I work with kids, volunteer at church and my ambulance squad in town, and I’m bilingual
Anybody get in with a similar circumstance? Rejected? Deferred? LMK- I am also pursuing nursing if that helps

500 math; 500 writing; 480 critical reading
i know they are not good, but i am very smart and have raised my overall GPA to 4.095
Also, i have raised my class rank from 79/323 --> 71/323
I wrote Hunter a email once about sat scores. They responded that as long as you match CUNYs requirements of 500 in reading and 500 in math, that anyone could have a chance.
I had a 570 in reading and a 480 in math and I still got in to both schools lol. I think you have a good chance of getting into both schools.
Plus some people aren’t very good test takers and I believe they look past that. Your gpa proves that too. Good luck 
Thanks! i dont mean to be too personal, but what was your gpa and were you involved in many activities? what do you think set you apart from other candidates?
I only had a 3.3 (88.5 average) as for activities, I wasn’t involved too much because my school doesn’t have a lot of clubs other than sports.
(National honor society, debate club, game club, Girl Leadership and Mentorship, and Prom Comittee.) I think the thing that set apart was my supplemental essay. I wrote about the stereotypical expectations for girls
