Hurricane Issac?

Follow the Tulane Cats tweets. They are pretty entertaining.

Sadly, Tulane Political Science professor and MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perrys house that they were restoring (one that had been damaged in Katrina) has become a victim of this storm [MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry: Home destroyed by Isaac](<a href=“MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry: Home destroyed by Isaac – SheKnows”>MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry: Home destroyed by Isaac – SheKnows)

That is really a shame, but not surprising since it was under construction and therefore vulnerable. Hopefully they have the desire to start over.

According to son, power is back on in Patterson at least.

If I understood Cowen’s last message, power is back below Freret St. It is still out between there and St. Charles, but he also said there are lots of trucks from the power company in the area, so things should be getting back to normal soon.

Sounds like the biggest problem is water damage in some of the dorms, according to the Facebook postings. Seems like a lot of scrubbing and new carpet is on the agenda.

All the dorms have power now (thank god).

Monroe floor 10,11,12 has water damage presumably from the roof access which leaked as well as some of the windows in the rooms. Sharp floor 1 flooded apparently.
