Since Collegeboard's headquarters are located in New Jersey, and Hurricane Sandy is rolling through the east coast right now, prompting numerous closures, does anyone know if this could possibly delay the release of our SAT scores?

I know that some people are still waiting for their scores because they're "not yet available" and personally I'm waiting for them since I took them on a "school test day initiative" in mid-October.

Is collegeboard's offices decentralized so that if New Jersey is affected by the storm, another location can execute the release of these scores? I know that my question is a bit of a stretch, who on this board really knows the answer to this? But I guess it's worth asking anyway :)

Hahaha wow, I didn’t even know CB was located in New Jersey. But yes, if they plan on shutting down, I suspect that means scores will continue to be delayed for a while.

Per CB:“Our offices are closed today and tomorrow due to Hurricane Sandy. SAT Services and other call centers are down. Stay tuned for updates.”

This might be off topic Yesterday I tried to register for the December 1 SAT Reasoning Test. The online payment option rejected my credit card a few times and it said ‘your credit card couldn’t be processed’ and i’m still unregistered for the SAT. However, I received a bank statement and it said 2 transactions, each of $81, were made for CB. Both of the transactions are still unsettled, they aren’t actually ‘paid’. So I emailed CB and they aren’t replying. The deadline ends in two days and I’m still unregistered and I don’t have any idea about my payment. What should I do??

I called just a couple of minutes ago and a rep explained that we will receive emails if the SAT for Saturday is disrupted or canceled. However, i was told to use caution when traveling to testing sites. If you are not able to take the exam Saturday college board will waive the fee for another date.

Yes, their customer service is still on. I am also an international student. I called and talked to a lady and she told me that the superstorm has not affected registration for SATs. (That is if you’re concerned about registration…) That was 8:00 am EST today…
I went on to register for the December test, and I faced absolutely no problems.
