No, it's not the Husky Pass that gets you on busses and stuff. I went to the UW's website today, and looked at admissions, and they told me about Husky Pass, which gives you tips on admissions, and other stuff like that, and sends you mail. Has anyone who has experience with it tell me how useful it is exactly? I'm probably getting the latest brochure on Monday.

I didn’t really learn much new out of the Husky Pass, to be honest. There may be tidbits of information but it’s pretty general information.

side question, when does husky pass get reactivated??? (im going to be a sophomore if that means anything)

A week before each quarter begins. So I read somewhere on the website.

On transportation Husky Pass:

When can I use it on transit?

If you registered 9 + days before quarter start, it will be available: one week prior to quarter start
If you registered less than 9 days before quarter start, it will be available: 24 to 48 hours after you register

Continuing members
To maintain your U-PASS activation between quarters, you must be registered for classes 9 days prior to the next quarter start. If you do not do this, your U-PASS will be deactivated and will be reactivated for transit 24 to 48 hours after you register.

how long after you requested the husky pass did it come to ur house? i requested mine online about 3 weeks ago and nothing has come yet

You won’t get it in the mail. Have you gotten your Husky Card yet? That serves as the U-Pass.

no i meant the husky pass that u request on the website for freshman admission information

The Husky Pass on the admissions site is basically just a mailing list. They send you email every time something important regards to admissions comes out, like when applications open and a reminder before they’re due. That sort of thing.

The U-Pass is your transit pass which is tied to your Husky Card, your student ID, which is given to you at your Advising & Orientation session, and has the transit pass part activated a week before the quarter you’re registered for starts.
