Essays should be unique, Interview should go well, but no legacy/recruited athlete

I just want to know if it's worth it to apply, or if I'm aiming too high and should set my sights lower. Give me an honest opinion, guys! Thanks :)

Colleges, in order of preference:
(1) Harvard
(2) MIT
(3) Yale
(4) Penn (both CAS and Wharton)
(5) Columbia
(6) Princeton
(7) Swarthmore
(8) Cornell
(9) Lehigh

What about Dartmouth? You listed every other Ivy, plus Lehigh and Swarthmore (both very similar to D).

I think you have great chances at all of these. Just write great essays and your stats and ECs while shine through.

Chance me!
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1155428-chance-me-hypsm.html</a></p>

Leigh sure, but I think you’ll want more like 1000 hours of community service. Also, retake the bio and the chem SAT 2

You’re not serious when you tell him to retake chem and bio are you?

What’s the difference between a 740/760 and an 800? A question or 2?

My mom’s not letting me retake subject tests lol. She’s sick of paying.
I like Dartmouth, but I need to limit the number of colleges I’m applying to haha.
Keep them coming! Are there any actual chances?

Excellent chances at pretty much everywhere - HYPS is always tough to predict of course, but you have as good a shot as any. Also, if you really want to be a perfectionist, you only need to send 2 subject tests for most of those schools, and very few want a third (so you could just send your 800s on Math II and US).

Unless your school Weights honors same as ap… There is no way you have a 4.99, I’ve taken 13 ap and 20 DE and only managed a 4.76 with minimal(required) regular/honor classes…
Plus, if you’re telling the truth, you should be rank 1 and tied with someone else… Theres no one that will have a 5 w gpa unless they took ONLY AP and DE with absolutely no regular(like gym that’s required at my school)

thanks!
jdroidxw, my school weights both honors and AP classes on a 5.3 scale (5.3 for A+, 5.0 for A, etc.) and regular classes on a 4.3 scale. I actually do have a 4.99.

Sorry I’m thinking on a scale 0 to 5 that’s what my school does.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1159533-yale-ea-chance.html</a>
chance me back!!!

okay, your top 2 scores for SAT II are 800s, and those are the only ones that they consider, sooooo you obviously don’t suck at those (kind of makes me think you’re a ■■■■■ but whatever). Your ECs are pretty damn great, you’ll get into at least one of the big three HYP, and maybe more schools too most likely. good luck.

Impressive accomplishments, though those are the pretty asian activities. Math…piano. If you find a way to differentiate yourself, you’d have a better chance. That’s why I wouldn’t be too sure about HYP, but maybe.

It’s a crapshoot, but you have very good chances relative to other applicants.

Honestly you have a great shot at getting in at least one of your ivy league schools. Swimming contrasted with your math/sci makes you very competitive.
care to chance me back? :)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1161376-please-chance-top-publics-some-privates-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

You have relatively great chances compared to other applicants.

Oh no. Your stats are soooooooooo embarrassing. You’ll never get into your dream schools :D

If you have a sense of humor, then you will understand that you are in fact the circumspect applicant. And you don’t even need our critique to know that!

You won’t get in anywhere because you think a 740 SAT II means you “suck”

@OP: Everything you have is great! I think, though, that single setting vs. multiple setting (less than 3) doesn’t make a difference for these top schools as they all practice super scoring. Expect a Harvard acceptance letter soon!

What is this? I don’t even . . .

You’ll likely be accepted into Lehigh. Cornell is also possible. As for the other schools, we all know the chances, right?

The only reason you may not be accepted into these schools is how well (or how un-well) your essays are written.

lol okay thanks guys.
Suggest some safeties for me please?
