Yeah I'm shooting high. Thanks for replies.

wow ur a beast, you'll def. be happy wherever you end up going, we applied to a lot of the same schools

....you intimidate me with the fact that I have to compete against kids like you.

jk, you got a great chance...everywhere.

Stanford:low reach
Harvard:low reach
Yale:low reach
Princeton:reach
UPenn:high match
UC Berkeley:In
UCLA:Easily In
Duke:Probably in
University of Virginia:Easily In
Washington University at STL:In
University of Washington - Seattle (Safety):Easily In
Virginia Tech (Safety):Easily In

I hope this helped..

Kids like you are inspirational. You will have many good options.

Wow! Thanks guys. I was actually worried because I always read about the kids on here that go to USAMO and other national things. I feel great now!

15 AP's????? You scare me a little bit.

(that's a compliment)

your hooks/why im unique's arent really unique at all. however, your stats are great and im sure youll end up somewhere good :)

That was more of a quick rundown of what makes me me.

Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Princeton: low reach (your activities and scores should help you). Sometimes, ivy league schools could go either way(accepted/ not accepted); however, I believe you could get into at least one of them).
UPenn: Most likely In
UC Berkeley: In
UCLA: In
Duke: In
University of Virginia: In
Washington University at STL: In
University of Washington - Seattle (Safety): In
Virginia Tech (Safety): In

You should get into most of the colleges you applied. As the previous posters stated, your record should feinitely help you. Having all state honor band should also help you(my former band director only nominated Seniors, then she left and the new band director is not a member of the association that is in charge of it).

Good Luck!

Hey thanks for the reply nhs =D

BEASTLY.

Pump up those essays and recs and you stand a good chance at any of them.

great chance everywhere...

On top of your wonderful accomplishments, you're from an underrepresented state, and your Filipino heritage might also help out some. I hope you choose a Californian school- the Northeast is so far from Hawaii!

I used to live in Virginia. I've lived in Italy, Washington, San Diego, Virginia, San Diego again, and now Hawaii.

I don't think playing in the school band counts as passion but great chances anyways

I know what you mean about crappy schools. I go to one on Maui. Last year though, one kid went to an Ivy! (The first one ever I think). My stats aren't near as great as yours. Good luck!

hmmm.... Middle of the applicant pack at HYPS with stats.

What will possibly get you in are: Hawaii non-Punaho, and Pilipino (which most will realize is a truly URM and not mainstream Asian). You will make a nice additional to the geographic and racial diversity at any of these schools.

The essays are key. Do they demonstrate that notwithstanding your below average high school, you've learned to write in an academicly acceptable way?

The essays are key. Do they demonstrate that notwithstanding your below average high school, you've learned to write in an academicly acceptable way?

Well I've only gone to this horrid high school for my Junior and Senior years. I'd say my writing was solid. Everyone I showed it to thought they were terrific (including former teachers from my other hs).

Hawaii non-Punahou is a hook lol? Why do you think that?

I know what you mean about crappy schools. I go to one on Maui. Last year though, one kid went to an Ivy! (The first one ever I think). My stats aren't near as great as yours. Good luck

rofl I think I know who you're talking about. He was the male Presidential Scholar from Hawaii. Some white kid.
