I am A FREAKIN Idiot

Has anyone ever made the mistake of putting your answers for the balanced equations portion of the test in the GREEN INSERT instead of the PINK ANSWER BOOKLET? After we were told to remove the green insert, I assumed that it was time to write in it. I TOTALLY WAS NOT THINKING STRAIGHT. I went to the guidance office and they said that all they could do was file an Irregularity Report checking Misplaced Answers, but there were no guarantees. Can anyone please tell me what will most likely happen (from past experiences)? Thanks.

ouch.........

Something like that happened to someone in my school with the AP Stat exam. He had all of his answers in the booklet and didn't have enough time to transer all of them to the scantron. They filed a report and everything, but in the end, the poor guy ended up only getting a 3. Which was amazing in my opinion since only the free-response ended up being counted.

I'd Say You're Sol!

The setup of the test is way to complicated with the booklets, stickers and student packs. This was my first (and only!) AP exam and it was much more complicated to take the test than any other collegeboard or standardized test. CB needs to reevaluate how they administer AP exams.

damn 10char

seriously! dvm258 i agree
i forgot to put a bloody sticker on the apush scantron and that freaked me out so much. stupid collegeboard.

wait you didnt need to put a sticker on the scantron.. only the booklet that had the questions. the questions were collected separately, unstickered.

I think he means the ap number sticker thing. In the little booklet.

ouch man. i'm hoping for the best for ya.

and yes, they do make it too complicated.

haha dude, hopefully everything goes well. But if worst comes to worst you only did the balanced equations section on the green insert, right? and thats only like 40% of the FRQ so 20 % of the test... Hopefully it shouldnt be that bad.

ap number sticker on the scantron for multiple choice
the scantran has your name and a place to bubble in ap number
so i dont see why they make it so that u need a sticker too

So...the rest of the questions you did in the red?

yeah what did u do?? i'm sure its fine...don't worry about it =) i suck at chem and probably got more wrong than you even tho i put my answers in the right place ^^ but then again i'm not taking AP chem =///

hm? what? the MCs all got invalidated or what?

My friend didn't fill out a SINGLE MC bubble, the proctor gave no time warnings and called it before he began to bubble in lol. Lesson learned for him I suppose - he ended up with a 2.

If you'e talking about Chem, that's only 7.5% of the test - a significant amount, but there's no need to freak out.

well i didn't finish the MC nor the d and e parts of many of the FRQ responses. but yeah i only put the balanced equations on the green insert because there was no room for FRQ responses on the green insert haha.

wow, i'm surprised this thread got so many views. anyway, if anyone in the present/future is in the same situation...

as long as you file the report thing, the AP people will count it. I wasn't penalized for being stupid.

^What report are you talking about exactly?
And yeah OP don't worry you'll be fine the balancing doesn't even count for that much anyways, not to mention its like the thing people usually get alot wrong in, especially this year it was annoying..

Oh and on a side note do yous know if they grade the FR with the booklet in hand or scan it then grade it (like the SAT) because on the Microeconomics exam i think i forgot to put the question number in the box for one of them...lol
