I am about to experience one of the greatest things in the world

As I wait for my friends to meet me, just wanted to write here that I am about to partake in one of the greatest experiences on this planet: the brown commencement procession. The year you graduate will always be the best, but even when I marched again as an alumnus it was incredible and I am really looking forward to it again (weather be damned!).

Walking through the gates, generations of alumni and faculty applauding you, there really are few legal ways to feel better.

To all you who just got in, congratulations and in 4 years you will get to experience this amazing tradition

If anyone wants to watch, it’s live right now:
[Live Webcast | Brown University](<a href=“Livestream 1 | Livestream | Brown University”>Livestream 1 | Livestream | Brown University)

I’m watching from my dorm room across the world (study abroad) and missing Brown so, so much.

are you guys wearing your CC t-shirts so I can recognize you? :D

Whats with the top hats?

I believe the people with the top hats are the class representatives from each reunion year.

There are some other people wearing them too but youre right that its the marshalls and other vips. If you google “morning dress” you’ll see that the hat and tails are one form of traditional morning formal wear. The styles of tuxedos most are used to seeing would be considered inappropriate to wear so early in the morning.

I saw one group in what seemed like pink ties and light colored suits.

I saw a 2009 reunion group. Were you there IWBB?

^yep, they’re there every year. Seersucker suits.

I was amongst the 2009 group - but which one was I, that’s one secret I’ll never tell, XOXO GG.

I did not march with '09 this year (friend’s wedding) but look forward to walking next year at our 5th year reunion.
