Wisconsin

where should i go if i dont get in to amherst

I would scratch W & M, because it's very hard for out of state-ers. You should add Kenyon. Texas high school guidance counselors, in many areas, don't know much about schools outside of their region, so I understand why you're looking for advice. You should check out these schools in ISI's book "Choosing the Right College." It's updates as an anual guide. Most of these schools are highlighted in it. Also, Wisconsin stands out as an odd choice - is there something there that attracts you? If you're looking for a great state school in that area why not U of Mich?

Good news for you: last I heard, 50% of legacies we're accepted at Amherst.
I think IsleBoy is just a bit too lenient, but other than that he's right.

Have you triple posted? Here, Bowdoin site, Middlebury, . . . .?

I haev - im really curious

Ok so could anyone give me percentage chances or somethign

jut rpedicting the perecentages - i know someone can help me

B to the U to the M to the P

IMO Wisconsin is a better choice for the OP than Michigan because Michigan is as hard to get into for an out-of-stater as any on his/her list and not much cheaper, either. Wisconsin serves as a good safety. If Amherst is the OP's first choice, I'd recommend Middlebury and Bowdoin as most similar.

but where will i get in?

You've got very respectable chances at all of these schools. Also, if you want a college really similar to Amherst, that would be Williams. They're twins.

williams sucks my left teet
