I have one more application to finish and I was thinking of turning in the essay I wrote for common app. I problem is, the more I read it, the more I get sick of it and the more I dislike my essay. I can't really do anything about my common app now, but I feel regret becuase I feel like I could have written 100x better. ugh
Can someone please read my essay and tell me if its fine for Columbia or not?
Thanks so much

I’ll read it. All my apps are turned in. :)

Did you get it?

Here’s a solution: DON’T READ IT! Don’t even think about it. Go out for a jog or study for midterms or something. It would help your mind out.
However, if you really want to know, you can send it to me. However, don’t expect me to be lenient with my comments.

Yep, I got it. haha.

omg I’ve been having the exact same problem ALL DAY. I don’t know what I’m going to do. And I love my essay when I wrote it ):

I’ve noticed that after reading my essay several times over, the words begin to just mesh together and lose meaning; I can no longer process the overall message I tried to convey when writing it. I just see a bunch of sentences and paragraphs, and say to myself, “hmm… maybe I should have phrased this differently,” every ten seconds or so.

me too! I always get this feeling of detachment w/ whatever I write after a while =.=

yeah im glad im not the only one! I just stopped looking at it cause its all done and i cant do anything about it now. When I wrote it, I thought it was so great! and now I think its like so bleh and cliche!

I can, just PM it to me.

My friend got accepted into Columbia ED (if that establishes sort of credibility?).
