<p>I got kicked out of manhattanville college and I am now in a community college. I dont wanna stay home anymore. My parents are too overprotective and i would like to go away again for my own sanity and freedom. I learned from my mistakes at manhattanville(i didnt know how to handle my freedom so i learned to balance work and fun) I would like to b a singer or something in music/or the arts. What are some good SUNY schools for that. Are there any other affordable schools besides suny anyone can recommend. it can b in north carolina, jersey or connecticut</p>
<p>If you want to major in the arts/music, I recommend SUNY-Purchase. It’s the music/art school for the SUNY system.</p>
<p>The other good SUNY schools are Buffalo, Binghamton, Geneseo, Albany, Stony Brook. You can also look at CUNY’s (Hunter, Baruch, Brooklyn and Queens).</p>
<p>Schools in NC, NJ and CT include UConn, NJIT, Rutgers, College of New Jersey, UNC-Asheville, NC State, UNC-Greensboro, UNC-Chapel Hill.</p>

<p>Agree with Pierre, Purchase is probably the best college in SUNY for Creative Arts.</p>
