Hello! I'm currently a Junior in high school and I registered for Pre-Calculus yesterday at my local community college. I went the day after registration opened and tried to register for pre-cal but I was put on the waitlist at number 39. Should I even show up on the first day?
I would take the online course but that has a waitlist of about 15 people, so what should I do? Another community college about 30 minutes away is also full for pre-cal and the next nearest CC is about 50 minutes away but it some spots are available, should I go for that college?

I’d register for the online precal class.

Also - stay on the other waitlist where you are on the 39th spot.
I was on three with about 45 ppl waitlisted and they opened new class sections b/c there was such a high demand.

At least in California, you can not wait until the day after registration opens to register at a CCC and hope to get into most classes. Classes that are needed for transfer like Pre-calculus usually are filled within seconds of the opening of registration at nearly every CCC in the state.
