Should I drop out of my State's University to take some general classes or some that interest me at my local community college to try to find what I really want to major in and to save some money or do you that would be just a waste of time? I am just feeling to lost in college and really have no idea what I want to do

Are you a freshman? You are not forced to know or declare your major until the end of Sophomore year. It is not unusual for freshmen to be undecided.

If you are a freshman, then Alexandre is right - give yourself some time and some space. You have enough on your plate just getting used to college. If you aren’t a freshman, you can be more pro-active: Does your school have a career counseling center? Start there: They may provide testing and career counseling services. It might also be worth taking a semester or more off to do some internships in areas of potential interest, which the career center should be able to help you with. Find out about the possibility of doing some alumni interviews in fields you might be interested in too.

Once you have a clearer handle on what kind of work would make you happy, it’s easier to start thinking through what you have to do to get yourself there - while leaving room for mid-course corrections as new options come to your attention.
