What are the chances of me getting rescinded from san jose state university? I think i might be getting an F in my AP statistics class. All of my other grades are pretty solid. Someone told me to also call in and tell them in advance also. Is that a good idea? Thanks in advance

You’d better talk to your GC. This happens every year, so for future understanding, why didn’t you care about rescinded when you weren’t doing your schoolwork, but you care now? I don’t get it?

Talking to them now is a good idea. Students can and do get rescinded for a D or F grade. But the people that know what will happen are not here on this forum. They working admissions at SJSU. There are more options available if you contact them right away and it turns out that this grade matters, such as summer school. If you wait until they see it on your final transcripts it will be too late for that. And also the mature thing to do is to face up to your problems rather than hope it all blows over.

@BrownParent The class was extremely hard for me. I knew i shouldn’t of had taken a math course. I passed with a C last year in precal. Math is my weakest subject by far.

@mikemac What do i say when i call them? Just hey i think i might be failing one of my classes? Thanks for the help and advice.

In a nutshell, yup call them.

I echo the above advice. You’ll figure out what to say when you call or email them. They aren’t ogres there to rake you over the coals, most people that work in admissions genuinely believe they are helping kids realize their dream. As they wrote in the Davis alumni magazine
