I applied to these colleges, which one is the best one for premed/biology major?

Hello, I am currently a high school senior who is planning on being on the premed track with a biology major. I cannot decide on which college I should decide and it is giving me a headache. There are things I highly consider when choosing a college. The list is given below:
-High medical school acceptance rate(obviously
;
-grade inflation or high undergraduate gpa
-good research opportunity
-good volunteering service opportnities
-must be a small school that doesn’t artificially infiltrate the med school acceptance rate by only encouraging students whom they believe will get accepted by the med schools.
-must meet a lot of financial need or must have a good scholarship program.

I know I am very demanding but, I’m trying to choose what’s best for me. Can you please list them in order considering the points I mentioned? Thank you and happy Thanksgiving!

Sorry, I forgot to mention the colleges.

  1. American University
  2. Barry University
  3. Bates College
  4. Earlham College
  5. Juniata College
  6. Skidmore College
  7. Ursinus College
  8. Trinity University(TX)

Do you still have a GPA of 3.5 and SAT of 1040 or so? What is your citizenship status? What is your home state?

@Sybylla, Bates is the highest ranked institution by multiple sources, including a top-25 UNWR LAC, and as a result would be characterized as a highly selective LAC. It has a highly regarded Biology program with a well documented success in placing graduates in top medical schools. Trinity University is also an excellent LAC with a fairly similar admitted student profile, albeit a much higher acceptance. That said, it only makes to include schools that are achievable based on your profile.

I have an 1150 on the SAT

Which one or ones can you attend without taking on any debt at all?

Let’s back up a step: have you already been accepted to all of these schools? If not, there is no point playing parlour games of ‘which should I choose’, until you know what your actual choices are. In most cases you have a good amount of time to make a decision, and they all have revisit days.

Once you have acceptances, the first criteria should be COA (cost of attendance): which one requires no / least amount of debt? because med school is expensive and there is even less scholarship money available than for undergrad.

Once you know which of your acceptances are reasonably affordable then you can weigh the next piece: where are you likely to get the best grades. None of the schools you list have a particularly strong reputation for grade inflation or deflation.

Agree with @collegemom3717, Unless you have applied EA or ED or any have applied rolling admission to any of these schools, you’ll have to wait until March to see which RD acceptances come in. Good luck!
