Thanks for all the credit Penn . . . :(

Yeah, Calc AB is tommorow. Ugh. Since I basically have to take it, I'll do the problems and whatnot. Plus I get out of a day of school. If I get stuck on a problem I won't care though.

dont waste your time
just leave it blank

Arggg, pride's so messing with me. Up to this point I have six 5s and one 4. The thought of doing like crap on AP exams this year is making me feel sick.

i learned about the no credit policy a month ago, so decided to take the BC test instead. but i put off studying for it until yesterday and right now i think ill get a 1 on it. oh well, just means a easy math course my freshman year

am totally blowing it off. not even reporting my score for it.

nah BC isnt that bad... u basically only need 60% of the test for a 5.... ugh, i am sorta gettin the same feeling for the government AP... such a waste of time/money

you dont get any credit for gov or calc ab, so why is anyone even taking those two ap tests?

i signed up before I knew I was going to get into Penn. With a 3 on the AB exam I would get math credit at UNC-Chapel Hill so it was a no-brainer to take it at the time. I'm glad I don't have to worry about it anymore though.

Now I'm taking the test to see how good I am at Calc.

ewww, why bother taking it at all though??? you should just not take stress yourself and get a refund, since its completely worthless to take!

I go to a catholic school, and there making us take it no matter what. I could bubble in all c's, and they wont let leave until the 3 hours are finished. so gay. i dont want to skip school either - that day off can be better used for next week... lol.

when you sign up for an ap class at my school, you sign an agreement saying that you'll take the test no matter what. we're on blocks, our teacher missed a month and a half on pregnancy leave, and we're all going to get raped tomorrow. it's gonna be joyous.

I sorta decided to do the AP test properly. I have to be there anyway, I may as well do it right. Who knows, maybe i'll transfer and will want credit.

so bring a book and a pillow or something

you guys make me feel good :) i'm so gonna bomb this one! my course at school is for the AB one and i started studying for the BC yesterday! Yahooooo! The way I look at it, this is the only AP exam I'm taking. So 1 credit lost meh...whatever!

Blowing it off here, too, but not for anything spectacular - finishing up my term paper on Invisible Man, oh boy! rolls eyes

Of course, I'm not expecting to fare too well - sadly in this portion of a practice exam, I only got 3.75 points out of 16 total - I would have honestly fared better if I had put "D" each time! So now I have a way to justify straight-line guessing if I really have it off with the test. :)

Good luck, y'all! (And sleep well, megamike23!)

If you ceremonially rip your test into shreds during the exam period, 1) the your score will not be recorded, 2) you will look cool and 3) if you scream like Tarzan while you do it, it's a nice way to release all that angst bottled up from taking the worthless calc class in the first place :)

I just finished up my freshman year at Penn, as an Engineer, having taken the AB calc in high school (and got a 5, which didn't help me credit-wise). But I will say this: if you're good at calc, and did well in AB, then when you take Math 104 (which is Calculus I, standard first year calc class for everyone --- BC people with 5s go to 114) then you will have the upper hand. Plenty of people in that class have no idea what they're doing and if you did well in calc, you can definitely score an A. I did. Even if you don't get As on the tests, the average is so low that the curve will really help you ; )

I had a nice 80 dollar nap today....

I'll be lucky to get a 2, lol. My mind is on the Physics B test
