I can't believe I'm asking for a "chance me thread"

but I feel so nervous so I just wish to quell those nerves.

Anyway, I have a 3.3 UW; 55/140 class rank
(That is with my school utilising an odd scale, eg
A:93 percent and up
B:85
C:77...ect.
Unfortunately, my high school doesn't report that scale.)
I have taken the hardest course load possible at my school, which includes 6 Aps, and 2 classes taken at the University of Toledo.

Act:33 composite
34 Math
34 Reading
36 Science
29 English
10 Essay

Sat: 2010 (low, but taken a long time ago....)
I don't have my SAT II's back yet.

Anyway, I had a decent Freshman year, a Very Bad Sophomore year and a Very good Junior year, and I do touch on the GPA thing in the common app. I had issues both during my first two years, and I managed to overcome those issues my junior year. MY curve for GPA is high imo. (I knocked it up by more than .3 points and 10 ranks during my junior year.)
I think I wrote my essays as well as I could.
I am the team captain of my fencing club, which is very small in Toledo.
I have been involved in dance, musicals, and I play piano, all of which I began during high school
I have 400 hours of work-study towards paying for my school (Private school in Ohio)
I have another few hundred hours of work for Little Caesars.
I have about 100 Hours of Community service
I am apart of the National Latin Honors Society
And was also a delegate to Buckeye Boys State (I love the American Legion)

I wish I could say I am a first gen. college student, but my Dad just obtained his associates degree 1 year ago.

If it matters, I may not have to use financial aid, because I am hopefully going to receive a scholarship from the NROTC (or so my NROTC Liaison Officer tells me)

Anyway, I have applied to CAS and the College of Engineering under Chemistry and Chemical Engineering respectively through early decision.

So, like I said, I am wondering what you guys think my chances are, if only to calm my self. I really want to go to Cornell, but I know its a huge reach for me. So what do you guys think?

the biggest problem for me with your application is the fact that you say you are interested in chemical engineering but there is nothing in what you showed (at least to me on this website!) that relates to science besides the fact you got a 36 on your act in the science section. is there anything else you have done that relates to your intended field of study? cornell is all about the fit, sometimes the BEST applicants get denied because they dont properly fit the program they selected.

There really isn’t a science club, or engineering club, since my school is small.
But if it helps, the courses I am taking at the University of Toledo are Intro to Engineering, Calculus II and III, and I am taking AP Chem currently. I took AP Physics and AP Calculus last year.
But I realised your point before I applied, and I made CAS my primary choice, because it is hard to write about how much you want to be an engineer without any real experience as one.

I don’t like to give opinion on chance threads because I am not in admission. But in a case where it maybe obvious, your ranking is not even top 1/3 with low GPA. Unless your school’s Naviance shows 50% of students get into top 20s, then I don’t think Cornell is in the card for you. You are also applying to two of the toughest schools to get into. Those two schools are not as much of a fit, it’s more about your stats. Unlike a school like Hotel, even if your stats are slightly below, if you could demonstrate your fit then you may have a chance. What does your GC think? Are you an URM? If so, there maybe a chance, but with that ranking I still think it maybe difficult.
