I cant decide between Penn State campuses

@NASA2014 True. I think the OOS tuition is in line with a lot of big flagship universities. But since PSU doesn’t give much aid, that difference can be substantial. As far as lists we DO make…unfortunately, we make this one: http://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/the-short-list-college/articles/2014/10/28/10-colleges-where-in-state-students-pay-the-most-tuition

@awkwardcity Include your name, the year/class you had her and the grade you received. Include a copy of your resume, if you have one, and an offer to meet with her if her new school is nearby.

@autumnal I emailed her thanks for your help and I’m applying to Oswego early decision if she says yes

Try the University of Rhode Island. I have a kid that goes there as well as one that goes to PSU- main, both are out of state schools for us. . Its small near the beach and they give HUGE merit aid to out of state kids. With your SAT scores you will get a very nice package. Best of all you only need to maintain a 2.8 to keep it. My tuition bill for URI is on par to what I would pay for instate. Plus its near the beach and there is an Amtrak on campus that can take you to NYC or Boston. I hate to say it but out of state wanting to go to PSU is out of the question for you. All out of state parents I have met at PSU have money to pay full freight. You most likely will get no financial aid and although your SAT score is outstanding, PSU weighs 2/3 GPA and 1/3 tests for admission so I am thinking your GPA is not high enough for merit. I think you would be better off trying some private schools too.
