I can't decide! UCSD v Berkeley

well…UCLA is a dream school…
k maybe i can choose between UCSD and UCLA…go to UCLA!!!

i cant help you with UCSD and Berkeley OP…cuz well you’re a Berkeley spring admit right? that part sucks.

but its a clear choice for mkcman17 despite the parking permit issue…

mkcman17@ucla.edu

Wow everyone! Thank you very much for your views on the matter. I really do love both campuses but I do favor the San Diego Area much more. I have to go to school right now but I will be back to add more information. I appreciate all of this everyone! Thank you.

ps. I am 50/50 right now and June 1st is right around the corner. I am going to call my admissions officer today to see about this extension program and possible summer school, which will help me decide which school is right for me. Feel free to add more to this post; I will be back! :)

jane, STOP TURNING MY USERNAME INTO MY EMAIL!!! that’s a dirty low-down trick, and you know it!! gah…60/40…

however, my dad got me an uber cheap room at his old fraternity and that may be the decision maker

go ucla(!/?)

rahrah203,
still trying to make decision? LOL
Hope you make right decision! let me know when you make your final decision.

lol yup! Now I am comparing my financial aid awards! Finally got mine from ucsd. I have a net cost of around 9k at UCSD and a net cost of 5k at Cal. hmm So If I minus transportation and some other factors my net cost at both school with decrease. Cal seems to have given me a little more. But I am not sure that my award could cover the expensive housing at Cal… hmm

Anyway, I just got this nifty booklet from UCSD: The Village! Omg…so nice. Anyone else get this in the mail?

lucky,
I rarely got any financial aid cause I get some financial support from oversea… so I rarely got any. Yeah, the Village looks awesome. I will def. live @ village if i get single. If not, I am planning to live off campus. If I decided to live on campus, I don’t think I am gonna take my car. I just don’t see the point of takin my car.

Chris^^ There really isn’t a point to take a car. Buy a good bicycle! If I go to UCSD I am definitely investing in a swift bike but I might take my car since I might need it to get to the city at night. Make friends who have cars and carpool with them if you need to! lol

yeah, $550 parking permit. Not worth it! LOL

Yikes! No bueno! Thanks for that heads up Chris lol

@Janethedoe have you picked yet?

I’m still on the fence but I’m gaining a better understanding on where I would like to see myself.

nah i haven’t picked yet…somedays i pick one and then the other days i pick the other.

^^ omg…too true! I have been paying more attention for signs lately. A character in this book I just read is attending Berkeley… lol

Berkeley estimates that $13,315.00 would be the average budget for one semester of attendance. I was offer about 3/4 of this number in grants/scholarships. Does $13,315.00 sound like it’s more than enough to live in Berkeley for a semester? Housing seems like it will eat my budget alive along with registration fees. I’m a little worried about moving up there and struggling to survive after I pay all my fees.
