<p>Ladyluck…Yes loved Mercersburg but my daughter is an athlete and the league that they play in many of the competitors are a 4 hour (8hour r/t) bus ride to play a game. It’s a beautiful campus and great teachers and kids but it is all by itself in Western, Pa. My daughters 1st choice is also 4 hours away from home but there are many other school close by that the interschoalastic sports teams compete against. Good Luck!!</p>
<p>Just to clarify, many of the schools that Mercersburg competes against are relatively close. Yes, they are in the MAPL league, but they supplement those games with lots of local ones. Peddie is the furthest, at about 3 + hours, but in fairness, next year Peddie will travel to M’burg. My daughter is a 9th grader and on varsity lacrosse and she isn’t bothered by the travel time. She also played jv soccer, but as a jv team, they had fewer games in general. Also, M’burg is really in Southern PA. It is only a couple of exits away from the Maryland border.
