If you "can't take it anymore" don't post a chance thread...you'll just invite a mob of people to overanalyze you and stress you out. Collegeconfidential users aren't the admissions committee so, in the end, our views don't matter.
Just try your best (I know it's hard) to keep your mind off of the decision and hope for the best...you've done all you can now!

You sound very good to me. You're smart, you've worked hard at school and in your family business, you play bass, you volunteer in your community. What more could Yale be looking for in a person? I don't mean to raise false hope, but you come across as a nice guy. I'm "just a mom" but I hope some people like you get in (including my daughter....). What were your essays about?

thanks for the comments guys, but feel free to keep them coming :)
riverrunner, one was about the first time i singlehandedly rented two tuxedos, and the other is about how my best friend, who has a handicap, has influenced me in my life

Seems to me you have the kind of story that lends itself to the kind of descriptor that the "how to get in" guides tell us is desirable: Latino Vegas Tuxedo Latin Kid. Or something like that. <g></g>
