Lots of Schools for Chances

White Male Student from Las Vegas, NV

GPA - UW: 4.0 W: 4.8
Class Rank : 1/660 (cut off is 4.8 GPA) (5 others legitametley hold this rank. Average school ACT is 27)

SAT II: Chemistry-670, MathIIC-710 (Might retake), USHist - 790
ACT: 33 (retaking in Oct, hoping for a 34+, but I am pretty satisfied with my 33)

EC / Awards:
DECA: VP (Soph and Junior), President Senior
NHS: 3 year member, Senior President
FBLA: 2 year member (Vice President Senior Year)
Basketball : 4 years, Varsity 2 years, Captain Senior Year
Science Club, Member for 2 years
NJHS, can't remember other middle school stuff, probably does not matter anyway
NHS President's Award and Outstanding Service in My Community Award

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
Nevada Boys' State Delegate (that was a pain in the ass)

Last Year I was in 4 AP classes: Language and Comp (3), Calc BC (2 year), Chem (4), and APUSHIST (5), the rest of my classes are honors and required classes
This year: 5 AP Euro Hist, Lit, Govt, Physics, and Calc (plus student aide is my sixth class, hey I need a break too)
Only 3 years of Spanish

What are my chances at getting into these schools: USC (Marshall), Berkeley, UCLA, University of Michigan (first week October) NYU Stern, and Pepperdine, but more importantly:

Princeton ED (1 of 4 choices), Princeton RD
Stanford SCEA (1 of 4 choices), Stanford RD
Yale SCEA (1 of 4 choices), Yale RD
MIT EA (1 of 4 choices, basketball recruit, most likely wilL EA here), MIT RD
Harvard RD
Penn Wharton RD

Thanks guys . Also, Im thinking about retaking SAT IIs for better math and another subject. yay or nay?

You'll get into lots of good schools with your stats, but I seriously doubt PSYMH or Wharton. While you'll make the stats cut easily, your SATs aren't even close for these schools. Go to Stern.

I agree. Unless you are in the top 10 or so students in Nevada this year, I doubt those stats will get you into the top 5 schools. If you are a serioulsy recruited basketball star, then things change dramatically.

messedupmikey:

UCB/UCLA: Match (out of state)

bump *(10 char)

bump again would like chances at all schools not just the top 10 ones

come on guys

I think you have a reasonable chance at Cal and UCLA. You should definitely get into USC, Mich, Stern and Pepperdine. I would agree the others are not likely.

What?! He has a 2100+ SAT score and some good stats. What does it take that he doesn't have to get into Princeton/whatever else he listed?!

uSC mich stern and pepp- match
others- reach

Bump (10 char)

when you guys say his SATs are too low, do u mean his SAT IIs? i dont see him ever posting his SAT I, only his acts
