I cheated, got caught admitted it and feel bad.... Should I apologize to the teacher?

So I cheated on a test and got caught admitted got a zero. They told me of the cheaters on the test I was the only one to admit. Should I apologize to the teacher or its just better to ignore it. I feel bad about it since last class the teacher, knew that like 5 or 6 people cheated on his test. And told us we could find the solutions to the class problems online.

IMO would apologize—acknowledge that what you did was wrong, you shouldn’t have done it (it’s fine to say that you were worried about the test, but don’t attempt to rationalize it,) and how you won’t repeat it.

Yes, although this was probably posted a long time ago, anyone reading this should apologize, politely accept the zero, vow to never cheat again, and move on as if it never happened at all.
