We are pretty close to the deadline of 1st May for selecting school.
I have been accepted to lot of good schools like many of you on the forum.I am in the process of narrowing down my choice but leaning towards Duke.

I am interested in Pre Med and would like to know why you chose Duke over other schools ( Brown,Rice,JHU,NU,Emory,Dartmouth etc ) without taking Financial Aid into consideration.

I applied to Duke, Emory, Washington in St. Louis, Harvard, Hopkins, and U of Florida. Accepted everywhere but Harvard and Hopkins, where I was waitlisted. For several weeks, I was torn between Emory (full ride scholarship), Duke (FA full tuition), and Wash U (FA/merit full tuition).

I decided on Duke over the others because of social qualities. All three are very strong academically, especially in medicine. I thought that Duke offered a little more than the others, due to such things as DukeEngage and Focus that allowed engagement outside the classroom. I never thought sports would matter that much for a college (being from Florida, I’m used to worshipping Tim Tebow), then I visited the colleges. At all three, the student body was friendly and smart (of course)–however, at Duke people seemed more enthusiastic and spirited about their school.

University of Chicago and Georgetown…too much fun to pass up for Duke v Chicago, and Duke economics crushes Georgetown business. Duke all the way
