Oops. (: I forgot to add Calc. my Senior Year.
I had to chose between taking Physics or Chemistry and seeing as I don't intend to major in a Science / Math related field, I chose the one that covers a broader field.
I would like to take Chem. & AP Chem. but I had to take two fine arts class (AP Art History) and Info. Tech thus ruining that idea. I am currently looking into taking Info. Tech over the summer so as too possibly switch back to my original schedule where I had Chem. instead of Art History.
And about the Bio. being too difficult thing; I'm in an accelerated Science + Math program so I have all the prerequisites to take the courses.

Yeah, even though your schedule will change, DON'T worry about "having no social life." Umm.. I had 4 APs junior year and have 6 this year, and it is NO BIG DEAL. Don't listen to those other people. I guess if you are... naturally dumb, then perhaps you will have to study a lot for those classes, but usually [as far as I know, and as far as I expect], most people in APs are naturally at least somewhat smart, and shouldn't have to try THAT hard. Lol.

I have 5 APs, 3 honors (2 online), and 2 electives in general (1 online) and I still have a semi-good social life for a shy person. I'll end up taking around 15 APs by the end of school.

But I agree with everyone else, your schedule will change, no choice in that. That is, unless you can get around the conflicts by taking extra classes online (which is why I have 3 online classes).

ok. earth to OP: you're in the 8th grade. don't plan out four years just yet... take it as it comes. you'll figure out that life works better that way. however, i must say your looking forward is rather impressive.

yeah I did the same thing when I was in 8th grade. no schedule conflicts. But remember things won't always go your way...

Why only one year of debate?

Is it required, or what? I couldn't stop after my first year (freshman year). It made me become addicted to it. It's an EC that's best to stick with if you like it.

I like to plan ahead. xD
And about the speech / debate thing.
We have one Debate class and you have to take Speech before it.
To top it off they are offered on a rotating basis, I was lucky to have the chance to take it in 9th grade.
Argh, my school. Seriously.

btw, plan on taking calc your senior year. it's important. and don't take AP bio soph. year... it's asking to die a long and painful death due to encephalitis.

I am taking AP Calc. senior I forgot to add it. xD

^^uh no. AP Bio is not that difficult. I easily maintain a 99% right now.

ok. at least for most, AP bio is a really really difficult class. of course it does depend on your teacher. but i can say, reading the text and understanding the material is not a piece of cake.

yeah its sort of a slacker class...lots of seniors who don't really care....

I am an 8th grader

I stopped reading here.

8th grade has begun, buddy. That's a full year until high school. Don't worry and chill.

I just like to plan ahead. >.<
Plus, we are required to chose our classes in about two weeks thanks an over-subscribed high school that needs lots of time to prepare.
My friend who is 9th grade this year got her schedule on the 2nd day of school. On the 1st day she spent all day in homeroom.

Wow..............

hehehehe. I have 3 APs for the first time (never took APs before with the exception of English cuz our teaches claim that my school is two years accelerated in English. ALC (harder than AP so had to drop the Placement part), AP Bio, and APUSH. If you can find your own box of study tools its no biggie. I think my bro's going to end up taking 2-3 APs every year... but then again I made him organize etc. So you'll be fine too. Plus I love Bio==>auto A+ warranted I don't become TOO arrogant.

sooner or later you're going to want to slack off senior year. Beware. so tons of APs=not a good idea.

Live life to the fullest. Don't even think about high school until your forced to by guidance counselers.

Well I know at our school, they drop certain APs during the summer, teachers leave, so classes are dropped. They offer 2 APs in the same period, etc. So it's pretty impossible to get what you scheduled the year months before, let alone 4 years earlier. No real point in planning it as I see it. Have fun. You're probably as concerned as me and I'm a HS senior.

Even with Honors classes there is bound to be scheduling errors. Freshman year I had 5 Honors, no APs & I had to change stuff around. Same as last year when I had a lot of scheduling errors as a sophomore with 1 AP & 4 Honors. It's pretty much impossible to get what you want exactly that way with a schedule at a lot of schools (i.e. Wind Ensemble at my school is only offered first period, same as AP Latin Lit; AP Stat & Abnormal Psych H are often only offered one period, both happening to be the same period). I mean good for you for planning ahead, but just be aware that things are definitely going to change.

I know but at my school because so few people take AP and Honors; if you want a class, they'll move the class to fit you.
