I decided not to play Varsity tennis this year... should I email saying this?

One of my EC's was the following : 3 years of tennis in high school: JV in Freshman, Varsity/JV half-half in Sophomore, nothing in Junior, and Varsity senior (I'm 100% confident I'll get a varsity spot for this season).
Now that I'm looking at my course-load and so on, I really don't feel like I can manage playing for the team. Will dropping a year of varsity tennis hurt my chances? Will not letting the UC system that I dropped get me rescinded at LA? (I hear audits are in mid January but tennis season starts the 6th of January)? Thanks so much for your advice!!!!

Personally I would. Reminder that the repercussions of not being able to prove your extracurricular in the application will cancel your application and also prevent you from applying in the future (meaning no grad school at a UC).

Is it worth the risk? I don’t know, but if you have good stats, not having one year of tennis won’t be the determining factor Explanations will help as to not make it seem that you were just lazy or have senioritis and quit tennis.\

goodluck!
