During my sophomore year, I butchered 2 AP exams and got a 1 and a 2. Apart from this I have relatively decent statistics: a 2100+ SAT, 3.8+ GPA, and top 10% of my class. So, could I get away with not reporting my scores and be fine or will they end up getting me rejected from my top choices?

Can anyone offer me some advice?

It depends. Most schools don’t consider AP grades unless you want to get credit for a class, but some do.

Oh, crud. Are the schools that want them only like ivies and other great schools?

Reporting them on your application is optional. However, if the class appears on your transcript but you do not self report the score than the reasonable assumption is that you failed. Still, I would not report a score less than 3. All schools want them but with the exception of elite schools most will just be happy that you took them.
