So I applied to 11 schools. And I want to get into the entertainment industry (act, direct, write, produce, even cast etc), so here are the schools I applied to based on my interests.
UCLA
NYU
Pepperdine University
Chapman University
Pace University
University of Vermonet
University of Redlands
CSU Fullerton
CSU Channel Islands
Humboldt State University
SDSU
So anyways, I just found out that I got accepted into PACE, Humboldt, and University of Vermont (I'm still waiting on the others; I won't know until March with the rest) but my dream school was Chapman University. Because of their screen acting program. It combines directing, writing, backstage, acting for theatre AND film, and so much more. It's exactly what I wanted. I don't even think that UCLA or NYU offers a major with that kind of a diverse program. But sadly, i just got my admission decision back, and I didn't get accepted. So I'm insanely sad. My audition went great, I have a friend who goes there, and another one who teaches there, my grades and scores are above average so I'm pretty confused as to why I didn't make it in, but now I'm worried. If I couldn't get into Chapman, do I even have a chance with schools like NYU, UCLA, or Pepperdine? I mean I don't know if they even have a program close to the one I wanted at Chapman, but I didn't even make it into there! Anyways, I'd kill for some positive feedback, advice (good or bad), or whatever else you have to say about all of this. I mean I haven't even told my parents yet because I'm too ashamed and depressed about it. Chapman was my dream school.
Below are my grades and scores if you were wondering

SAT-1500 (600 for reading; which is my strength)
GPA - 4.0 (these past few years; except for when I got a B in Alebra I)
I'm enrolled in all CP classes (I go to a charter school so they don't offer IB or AP

Thanks in advance guys!
