Do I still have a chance if I messsd up freshman year?

Well to sum everything up, last school year I had a lot of things going on, and they lead me to not focus as much as I usually do in school. For pretty much all my life I've been an all A's and one or two B's student. Last year I ended the year with a 2.38 GPA (2.58 wieghted, I'm in all AP/honors). This year ive really stepped it up and I have all A's and on B. I want to major in either acting or film and cinematography/video production. And I would love to attend one of these schools; PACE, Layola Marymount University, Marymount Manhattan University, and my dream schools being USC/UCLA/NYU/Pepperdine. I have had some real experience in acting and I was wondering if that would help me out? Also when it comes to majors like this is talent more important than grades? So I was wondering, do I still have a chance of getting into any of these schools? Especially my dream schools? What can i do to increase my chances? (I live in California)

And as a side note, I was wondering I heard that Pepperdine likes religous kids? Is that true because I attend a Christian school and I do a lot of community service so does that help my chances?

Thank you for your time.

Some colleges don’t even look at your freshman year grades so as long as you keep your grades up you should be fine.
