i do not have any extra curricular activities are there any chances that i could make into cornell

i donot have any extra curricular activities that i could write in my app so is there any chance i could get
admission in cornell electrical engineering

If you have exceptional stats you would have a small chance. But even then ivies do not want students who had to spend all their time studying in order to get top grades, they are looking for well rounded people. Now if your family is low income and you work 30 hours/week to help support them, write that up.

What do you do in your spare time? If you play video games that won’t cut it.

can i write that in my free time i assisted a professor in research

If that is what you do, yes. You should also be getting a letter of recommendation from that professor. Otherwise it is pointless.

Yes, that is an EC. Lots of ECs are not high school based.

well my professor died this year of a heart attack so how can i do something about it

You would need to provide some proof of the work you did. Otherwise Cornell, and others, will think that you made this up.

please can you elaborate what kind of proof i can give

Were you paid as a research assistant? is there any evidence other than your claim that this actually happened? Another faculty member who was aware of the collaboration? Universities usually do not allow high school students to casually work in a lab without clearance.

If this was totally informal then don’t include it in your app.

No ECs at all? What did you do besides go to school and study? Any music, sport, or hobby?

I don’t agree that you need proof, schools rarely ask for it. It is more impressive if you published with the prof or something. But you can still list the activity. On the Common App, say to see additional information, and bullet out some concise points about your research experience there.
