<p>Two....but you can live in the same dorm and attend the same classes. Diploma is separate.</p>
<p>They're two different colleges, but they operate on a coordinate system. What this means is that the colleges share a single campus, an administrative office (there is one President for both colleges), classes, and most residences. </p>
<p>However, they have separate deans' offices, athletic programs, admissions (men are admitted to Hobart College, women are admitted to William Smith College) & student governments. Students graduate with diplomas from their respective college, not Hobart and William Smith Colleges as a whole. Also, while William Smith is prohibited from having sororities, Hobart is allowed fraternities. The Colleges still have a few separate traditions and customs.</p>
