I graduated from a California high school and am planning on attending a CCC for 2 years and transferring to a UC(preferably LA or CAL). anyways, I have no idea what I want to major in. I don’t want to choose a major that bores me to death but instead something that I’m actually interested in learning. I currently have a plan for comp science but the requirements and acceptance is way too low. I’m very very interested in economics and starting a business. What should I do?
I suggest you do a certain amount of exploring (not for years, but for the first 1 - 2 semesters) of different areas when you go to the community college. I suggest taking a class in each of economics, math and computer programming, for instance, to explore further how much you like these areas and how good you are at them.
Having failed myself to make money trying to run a business, having found the competition to be ferocious, I always hesitate to encourage anyone in that direction.
