I don't know where to go to...help..!

I'm currently a junior at a public school in Hawaii that is not competitive compared to some of the schools that I have read about here. We send about one person to an ivy each year and most of the students here end up going to community colleges.

I know I really skipped out on my EC's my freshman and sophomore year so I really regret that...but I was wondering what colleges would be a match for me? Any suggestions for ECs would also be appreciated. I really want to do something that would help me toward my [planned]. I also would really like to help out kids or animals.

Here are my stats:

Freshman:
orchestra 1 - A
honors english 1 - A
physical science - A
honors human geography - B
honors modern hawaiian history - A
algebra - B
PE (required) - A

summer school:
biology - A
geometry - A

sophomore:
orchestra 2 - A
honors english 2 - A
chemistry - A
honors world history - A
guidance (required) - A
health (required) - A
algebra II - B first semester, A second semester

junior (this is what i'm trying to reach for):
precalculus - A
ap us history - B
physics - A
ap chemistry - A
orchestra 3 - A
spanish 1 - A
ap language and comp - A

senior (planned and aiming for A's in all classes)
ap calculus A/B
ap psychology
ap literature
ap physics B
orchestra 4
spanish 2

The only AP class that I'm missing from all the ones that our school offers is probably AP Biology, which I cannot take because I have to take spanish 2 to fufill the language requirement, and orchestra is a must for me.

ECs (not impressive at all I know):
tennis - 9
cross country - 10, [planning to] 12
soccer and track - 10, [planning to] 12
debate - 11, [planning to] 12
piano - 5 years
chinese school - 10 years
math club - 11 and [planning to] 12
physics and astronomy club - 11 and [planning to] 12
orchestra - since 6th grade
NHS (hopefully senior year)

SATs:
Aiming for 2200+

Volunteer:
Humane Society - since march '05 (3 hours a week)
Hospital - since june '05 (4 hours a week)

Job:
Ice cream shop - since january '05

Rank: 23/489 (A lot of the people at the top are taking easy courses.)

Our school has an engineering academy, which was just started this year. Physics, precalculus, ap calculus, and ap physics are the "academy" courses.

I'm very frustrated at myself for slacking off my freshman and sophomore years, but I know I can't do anything about it.

I'm going toward an engineering major, but I'm not sure exactly what yet. I don't have preference for a small or large school. I'd prefer a school either on the west coast or east coast. My second choice is to become a pharmacist.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks so much!! :)

Johns Hopkins, U Penn, Columbia, MIT, UC Berkeley, Stanford, Cal Tech, USC

Thanks, but are those colleges really possible for me with my stats?

Thanks for the help!

Also check out Michigan-Ann Arbor and Northwestern. Ann Atbor and Chicago may not be coastal cities, but they are as cosmopolitan and culturally rich as any city in the US and both of them have excellent Engineering programs.

Wow, I'm really surprised by these responses. Aren't these colleges really out of reach for me? Also, any suggestions for safeties?

Thanks so much.

We are operating under the assumption that you will get a 2200 on the SAT. You also have a 3.85 GPA and are ranked in the top 5%.

In that case, schools like Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, Michigan and Northwestern are all realistic.

Admittedly, MIT, Stanford, Princeton and Caltech are reaches.

However, I do know I am lacking in leadership, would that put these colleges out of reach? I'm trying to think of something, because I know I'm too late to run for any positions in clubs, because we started school in July. Also, I don't seem to have one "passion" when you look at my stats.

Sorry for all questions. >.< It's just that I'm very worried right now about what to do the next two years of high school in order to get into a college that is within my "reach".

bump

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)
