I have no idea where to look. I'm trying to be realistic here. I know of almost all of the great music schools in the US... but I know also that I have no chance whatsoever on being accepted to any of them. I need some new choices.. does anyone have suggestions?

what do you mean by no chance whatsoever? i think maybe people would be able to help more if they could see your stats?

I don't know your stats or if you're instate, but when I hear music-ed, I think Crane.

well...

24 act

4.78 gpa (out of 5.00) no ap or honors classes though

I've been in IMEA which is a state wide competion type deal... you audition to be in an orchestra and are rated with other people in your state. (i was 16th in my district)

I'm principle in chamber strings (my high school) and my schools jazz orchestra, principle in Metropolis Youth Symphony, principle in District 214 Honors Orchestra, and I recently tried out for The Protege Philiharmonic/The Classical Symphony and I made it (I dont know what chair yet)

my extra-curricular are basically diffrent youth string groups and ive been in every school musical since 4th grade, and softball and track in middle school...

hah, while looking at other posts... my stats are very pathetic. Good thing I'm a music major.. hah.

suggestions?

any suggestions?

Univ of Pacific has an excellent music ed program. Stockton is not too pretty, but the campus is very nice.
