I don't think my teacher is grading my work fairly?

The topic isn't what you think it's about.

I'm talking about my english class, I've had a solid A all year so far, I think i'm either #2 or 3 in the specific class.

I know the teacher likes me a lot as a student, but I don't think I am working hard enough for the grades I am getting.

His main grade spoilers are essays, all of which I have been getting 90+s while most of the class members are getting from 40s to 80s (usually). I don't really put nearly much time into the essays as one would expect for the grades I am receiving. I am not sure if I am being graded against the rest of the class (which might explain the grades), or if I'm being graded unfairly.

I know most people would just shut up about it and say "milk it for what its got" or something like that, but I don't know if I should approach my teacher and ask him about it, or just not say anything.

The class comes extraordinarily easy for me because I actually do the homework while the rest of the class usually slacks off (exception to a few), the only reason I'm asking is because I like earning the grades I get and not being handed high grades for no reason

thanks

I suggest submitting a copy of one of your essays to another respectable English teacher and seeing what s/he thinks.

However, you do say that the class comes easily to you (you do your work), while the rest of the class slacks off. Maybe you do deserve the grade after all.

Pat on the back for you for having a moral conscience.
