I DROPPED a class-what was i supposed to do-will i be rescinded?

Hi All-

i dropped an AP class at the beginning of second semester (but i completed it first semester and ended with a C :frowning: ). SEcond semester started mid january for us-but i didn’t notify any colleges about this.

Am i supposed to notify them? If so using what method of contact? Will the colleges rescind my acceptance because of this?

You need to contact every college you applied to and let them know as soon as you can. You'll want to provide an explanation as to why you dropped, and what your plans are for making it up.

You must notify every university you applied to immediately. Yes, some may rescind your admissions (they maintain the right to do so.) However, most likely none will. Either way, they would once you sent in your transcript and found the discrepancy.

Good luck.

[Shoot...beat by a few seconds!]

yup. u nust notify them.
one of my friends also did this cept she dropped an easy class like band instead of an AP. she still hasn't notified the UCs yet (even after having me bagger her). but hey, it's her loss. i think u should notify them as soon as possible since i heard that UCs check 10% of all applicants and if you get caught u could get kicked out. So i suppose itz better to fess up before they get ****ed off @ u

Each school has procedures to report changes in your application. Search around each UC's admissions site; for example, UCLA is: http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Applicant/changes.htm
