i feel as if i need a miracle... help mE!

okay so i am SO interested in applying to tufts b/c:

they basically have all the majors i want, they are BIG with community service, great study abroad program, and it has areally great campus culture & boston!! so i'm writing all these things in one of my essays for tufts. now i need to know my C H A N C E S.

gpa: unweighted: 3.47 / weighted: 3.7ish
(my grade trend started and ends like this: 3.5, 3.65, 3.83, 4.0, 4.6)
and i explain my past C's and B's in my essays

SAT scores:
writing: 660
math: 610
reading: 630
total: 1900 (i'm going to raise this up to like 2050+)

SAT II scores:
i'm not really sure what i got on this b/c the scores haven't come yet but:
US history: 700+
literature: 650+

extra curricular:
Journalism (on since 10th grade, won 7th in regional editorial cartoon, excellent at JEA convention in Atlanta, my paper won #1 in nation 2 years ago and has always been top 10)
READ Club (community service club, President, work with elementary school students and migrant workers)
Key Club (community service, since 9th grade)
Piano (Tested in Music Theory Level 6 when never learned theory)

do i have any chance? i know that my grades and test scores aren't impressive but i've been trying so hard to improve. and i feel as though tufts is a perfect match for me.

The trend of your grades will improve your chances significantly. Even if you don't manage to bring up your SATs you'll still be okay, but it would make you certainly more attractive of an applicant. It's hard to find people who are genuinely motivated and are very passionate about what they do (which in your case is community service and writing). I wish you the best of luck! If you need any more advice on essays/structuring of your application and what not, send me a private message.

thank you so muchh!! i feel so much better now.

do you know if it's fairly easy to get into tufts through early decision? i read that they admit 44% of early decision applicants. but isn't that only because the applicants are really qualified (i.e. 1350+ on sat's, 4.5+ gpa?)

can someone respond back tome? this is my #1 school.

dont get me wrong, but i dont see any leadership positions. that might hurt you. Also, gpa is a little low as well, however what is your class rank?
